I finally got around to signing up for the 2015 races I have been looking into. Three races are on the schedule and I am looking forward to the year. As an added benefit, I will be meeting a friend (trailto50.wordpress.com) at all three.

Typical forest park run. I wore the paradigms for the first 12 then switched to my old olympus for the next 5. I noticed very quickly that my old shoes were worn out. I put the paradigms back on for the rest.

This was my longest run since the 50k. My legs felt good for the first 16 miles. The heat and dead legs got me for the rest. My stomach was acting up a little after about 20. I had a new experience after the run that I don’t want to happen again. I met my lady at the coffee shop after and turned white and clammy when I sat down. After a few dry heaves in the restroom, I felt better. Not sure what caused it.

I see the need to revise my training. I don’t have anymore trail races on the calendar so logging most of my miles on the road. I can see my body is not used to this. My training is progressing to slow so will be increasing at a steady rate. The 50 miler is 50 days away and I am not where I want to be. The most important training now will be time on my feet. Who cares if it is walking, as long as I am moving forward.
